FLASH QUOTE
"It's really exciting when we get to be home when it's a big conference match and we come and win in straight sets. We've been on the road for the last month, so coming home and winning was a really good feeling. We're looking to bring that intensity and energy into tomorrow." – head coach Sara Spielvogel on the win

TURNING POINT
Saint Francis took advantage of early errors by the Blue Devils in the third set, taking an advantage that they held onto the rest of the match. Up 23-16, Laney Wilson beat a one-on-one situation with the CCSU middle, earning match point. After a lengthy volley, an attack from the Blue Devils went wide, solidifying the Saint Francis win.

Saint Francis had a dominant 22-16 lead in the opening set before a three-point run gave the home team the set advantage. Maggie Hogan needled the ball through the Blue Devils' block attempt, notching a kill. Back-to-back hard kills from Burns on the left gave the Red Flash the 25-16 win.

The Red Flash went on a 7-0 run to capture the second set. Beginning with a service error by CCSU, Burns kept the momentum with a kill. Coming out of a timeout by the Blue Devils, Burns landed the ball in the opposite corner, stretching the lead to 21-13. An error inched the Red Flash closer to set point, with back-to-back aces by Hogan earning set point. From the middle, Hogan sent the ball past CCSU's defense to take a two-set lead.
