LORETTO, Pa. - Saint Francis men's soccer picked up another three points in the Northeast Conference table with a 3-0 win over Howard on Sunday afternoon.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Saint Francis found the opener in the eighth minute of the match with a Rodrigo Mendes tap that was created from some great passes by Wagner and De Nittis.
After controlling much of the game after getting the lead, Kierzkowski and Wagner added goals to make it a 3-0 win for the Red Flash.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Red Flash set the tone of the match with an early goal by Mendes.
Saint Francis had a few chances to double their advantage throughout the opening half, but could not convert any of them. Wagner came the closest in the 22nd minute on a shot that required a difficult save to keep out.
In the 38th minute, Becker made a great save on a laser of a shot to keep the Red Flash lead intact.
Saint Francis would head into halftime up a goal.
The Red Flash had Howard on their heels to open the second half as well. Maximus Rigby nearly doubled the lead on a shot from 20 yards out that sailed just high of the crossbar.
Saint Francis continued to control the game throughout the middle portion of the half. Mendes almost made it a brace for himself in the 63rd minute but pushed a chip shot wide to the right.
Becker kept Saint Francis in front with an excellent save in the 70th minute. De Nittis nearly extended the lead just a few minutes later on a great feed from Wagner.
Kierzkowski doubled the Red Flash lead with a rocket of a shot that found the back of the net in the 79th minute. Wagner added another to the advantage in the 88th minute.
FLASH NUGGETS
Wagner recorded his second and third career assists in the match. The sophomore has now set a new career-high for assists in a season with two.
Kierzkowski scored his first career goal in the match and also recorded his first career multi-point match. The freshman tallied three points in the contest.
De Nittis has recorded a point in three of the last four matches.
Niclas Becker recorded his second clean sheet of the season and the second of his collegiate career.
