>> Saint Francis Cross Country is back in action at Buffalo, NY for the Canisius Alumni Classic hosted by Canisius University at Delaware Park on Saturday.
>> The women's 5k race will start at 12:00 p.m., and the men's 8k race will follow at 12:45 p.m.
>> It will be the regular season finale for the Red Flash before the Northeast Conference (NEC) Cross Country Championships on Nov. 1.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash last competed at the 50th annual Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University Saturday, October 5. The women finished 4th out of 35 teams in the Brown 6k race, the best finish at the meet since the 2017 squad took 2nd out of 24 teams.
Anna Quackenbush and
Tesslyn Helms earned their third straight NEC Prime Performer of the season. Quackenbush was the team leader, placing 20th with a time of 22:05.02. Helms was two spots behind in 22nd with a time of 22:07.6.
Naomi Hillen rounded out the top-3 in 24th with a time of 22:10.7.
Nina Connors claimed her second NEC Rookie of the Week honor by registering a 104th place finish with a time of 23:17.6.
The men finished 38th in the Brown 8k race. The best finish by the men was
Shane Curran, who took 158th with a time of 27:01.7.
RED FLASH AT CANISIUS ALUMNI CLASSIC HISTORY
The last time that Saint Francis competed at the Canisius Alumni Classic was in 2016. The women finished first while the men placed second. Danae Peters (18:25.7) and Bryce England (24:41.6) each took second as the leading runners in their respective races.
