BROOKVILLE, N.Y.- Saint Francis men's soccer will head to Long Island for an important conference match with LIU on Oct. 6 at 3:00 p.m.
Saint Francis So Far In 2024
Saint Francis enters the match at 3-4-1 after winning their conference opener against Stonehill on Sept. 29.
Joschi Schelb leads the squad in goals and points with seven goals and 16 points. Schelb leads the NEC in goals and points.
Fabian Wagner has also been a big offensive contributor, tallying eight points from four goals so far this year.
Niclas Becker is coming off of a four-save performance that saw him register his second clean sheet of the season. He has made 13 saves on the year and holds a .765 save percentage.
The Word on LIU
The Sharks enter the match at 3-3-4 on the year and 0-0-1 in the NEC. LIU drew Chicago State 0-0 in their last match.
Stephane Njike leads the Sharks in points and assists with nine points and three assists. He shares the team lead in goals with Jesper Mikkelsen and Niklas Thanhofer at three apiece.
Eoin Gawronski has played all 900 minutes between the woodwork for LIU this season. He holds a 1.30 goals against average and a .729 save percentage
