ERIE, Pa. - Saint Francis men's soccer will look to maintain the momentum they have built in the early going of conference play when they visit NEC table leaders Mercyhurst on Thursday Oct. 10 at 5:00 p.m.
Saint Francis So Far In 2024
Saint Francis enters the match at 3-4-2 and 1-0-1 in the NEC after drawing 1-1 with LIU on Oct. 6.
Joschi Schelb leads the squad in goals and points with seven goals and 17 points. Schelb shares the NEC lead in goals and is the sole leader in points.
Fabian Wagner has also been a big offensive contributor, tallying eight points from four goals so far this year.
Niclas Becker had yet another four-save performance against the Sharks. Becker has made four or more saves in each of his four starts this year. He has made 17 saves on the year, maintains a 1.25 goals against average and holds a .773 save percentage.
The Word on Mercyhurst
The Lakers enter the match at 5-5-0 on the year and 2-0-0 in the NEC. Mercyhurst battered Chicago State 4-0 last time out.
Dylan Sumner leads the Lakers in goals, assists and points with 11 points from three goals and five assists.
Danilo Abayo has seen the majority of the time through the woodwork and has been solid. He maintains a 1.13 goals against average and a .735 save percentage.
