LORETTO, Pa. - Saint Francis men's soccer will play what could be their most important match of the regular season when Le Moyne comes to town for a match on Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. The Red Flash and Dolphins are currently even on points and battling for the top seed in the NEC Tournament. It will be Senior Day in Loretto.
Saint Francis So Far In 2024
Saint Francis enters the match at 6-5-2 and 4-1-1 in the NEC after a their third consecutive victory.
Joschi Schelb leads the squad in goals and points with eight goals and 22 points. Schelb leads the NEC in points per game with 1.69.
Fabian Wagner has also been a big offensive contributor, tallying 18 points from seven goals and four helpers so far this year.
Niclas Becker has made 30 saves on the year, maintains a 1.13 goals against average and holds a .769 save percentage.
The Word on Le Moyne
The Dolphins enter the match at 7-3-4 on the year and are tied for second in the table with the Red Flash at 4-1-1 in the NEC.
Earlier in the season, Le Moyne upset No. 7 Syracuse 1-0 for one of the most shocking results in all of Division I soccer this season.
Jack Goodrich is the top offensive producer for the Dolphins. He has tallied 10 points fron four goals and two assists. Justin Pham leads Le Moyne in assists with four.
Wyatt Dupell has started all but one match for the Dolphins this season and has been excellent. He maintains a 0.85 goals against average and a .792 save percentage. Both marks are the best in the conference.
Last Time We Met
Saint Francis and Le Moyne last met on Oct. 15, 2023 in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Around The NEC
Three of the four matches on the matchday have playoff implications. Saint Francis and Le Moyne will battle for the top spot in the table, Howard will look to stay alive in the playoff race when they host Mercyhurst, and LIU will look to take their next step towards the postseason when they face CCSU.
