Women's Volleyball Sweeps Le Moyne

TURNING POINT
After pulling out the comeback in the second set, Saint Francis continued to play aggressive to pick up the win in the third set. Up a commanding 22-8, a block on the left by Korrin Burns and Drew Wallech extended the lead. An attack by Le Moyne into the net earned match point, with Burns ending the game with an ace to the back left corner.

FLASH MOMENTS
Saint Francis put pressure on Le Moyne from the first set. With a 23-16 lead, a kill by Laney Wilson earned set point. The middle hitters got the job done with Drew Wallech attacking from the middle to win the set.

Down 24-19, the Red Flash went on a seven-point run to win the second set. Alexandra Sappia tipped the ball onto the Le Moyne side to begin the run. Maggie Hogan served the ball, with Le Moyne's reception landing outside for the ace. Off the serve reception, Burns slammed the ball into the Dolphin's middle hitter, putting the score within two. After an attack error by Le Moyne, Hogan served the ball into the back middle to tie the set at 24 apiece. Burns, from the attack line, earned set point with a hard kill. Burns slammed another ball, this time into Le Moyne's back row, taking the two-set advantage.

FLASH NUGGETS
Saint Francis boasted 13 service aces with Burns tallying six, Hogan earning five and Sappia recording two.

Sappia also led the team with 25 assists.

Wallech notched two total blocks to lead the team's blocking efforts.

Hogan led the Red Flash with eight digs.

Saint Francis will conclude the regular season at home against Chicago State on November 15 and 16.
