During the 9-1 run, the Red Flash recorded seven kills. They finishes the final set with nine kills, a hitting percentage of .600, and three blocks.
FLASH MOMENTS
The match started out with the Red Flash had a lead as big as 14-9, but the Sharks would respond to make it a 20-19 game heading into the final serves. With a potential comeback on the horizon, Saint Francis went on a 5-1 run to take control. The run was capped off with an Elijah Lazor kill to give the team the set one win, 25-21.
The second frame was a close one throughout, with the set tied at 12 and 20 at one point. Going into the final serves, LIU held a slim 23-22 lead. They proceeded to score two straight points to tie the match at one set apiece.
The third set saw the Sharks run away with it early, taking a quick 14-6 lead midway through. The home team never gave up the lead and extended the advantage as high as 21-13. LIU would go on to win the set, 25-19.
Set four started with LIU jumping out to a 8-6 lead. The Red Flash responded with a 8-2 run to put themselves up 14-10 and never looked back. They would outscore the Sharks 17-8 the rest of the set off the back of 10 kills and four blocks. Stump finished off the set with the kill to extend the match further, 25-16.
FLASH NUGGETS
Along with his game-high 15 kills, Zini also tacked on seven digs. The junior finished the weekend with 33 kills and 13 digs.
A few players increased their Northeast Conference leading totals in tonight's match. Parker added 44 assists to improve his assist count to 423. Blain's 15 digs puts him at 130.
Lane recorded five kills, three service aces, and three digs to go along with his seven blocks.
