LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University women's basketball dropped its second-to-last home game of the season 72-57 to Merrimack.

TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Merrimack began the game on a 13-4 run in the first seven minutes before Saint Francis cut the deficit to 16-10 after the first quarter. The Red Flash opened the second quarter on a modest 8-4 run and cut the deficit to 20-18 with 5:36 remaining in the second. Merrimack responded with a 9-4 run and took a 29-22 lead into halftime.
Out of the half, Merrimack opened a 37-26 lead two minutes into the third quarter before Saint Francis put together a 17-8 run and cut the deficit to 45-43 with 1:12 remaining. The Warriors then took a 51-43 lead into the fourth quarter.
Saint Francis opened the fourth with five straight points and was within one score, 51-48. Merrimack responded with a 10-5 run and opened back up an eight-point, 61-53 lead with five minutes remaining. The Warriors kept the Red Flash to just four points in the final five minutes before clinching the 15-point victory.
FLASH NUGGETS
Carruthers recorded her 13th games with at least 15 points and has five games in a row with at least 15. She is averaging 19.8 points per game in her last five.
Boyd had her seventh double-digit scoring game of the season and her first during conference season.
Kameryn Dorsey dished out six assists and she has seven games this season with at least five assists.
