HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis teams split their respective matches against Northern Kentucky on Saturday.Â
The women's team's 4-2 victory over the Norse marked the program's first ever win over a Horizon League school, and the third win in a row for the Red Flash. It was their first road win of the season.Â
The men's team's narrow 4-3 defeat to Northern Kentucky marked the end of their three match winning streak.Â
Women's: Saint Francis 4, Northern Kentucky 2. Â
DoublesÂ
The Red Flash claimed the doubles point with 6-2 and 6-3 wins from the No. 2 and 3 slots respectively. Reagen Mangan and Sara Jankovic, winners from the No. 2 slot, are now back to .500 on the year with an even 3-3 record as a pair.Â
Kelly Dowuona and Kally Kadzinski continued their impressive start to the season with their seventh win in a row as a pair in the No. 3 spot. Dowuona collected her team-best 13th doubles win on the season and has won her last 12 combined singles and doubles matches. Â

Saint Francis took three on the six singles matches to secure their third consecutive win.Â
Diana Zuba's win 7-6, 6-1 win from the No. 1 slot was the deciding point for the Red Flash and gave Zuba her 14th singles win of the season, a team best. Zuba has won her last three singles matches.Â
Reagen Mangan's 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 2 spot was her fourth in a row and improves her singles record to 9-6 on the season.Â
Valeria Vinces also won her singles match with a 6-3, 6-0 victory in the No. 6 match. Vinces has now won three singles matches in a row and improved to 9-6 in singles on the season.Â

The Red Flash fell short in both the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches against the Norse. Â
The No. 2 match went unfinished after the conclusion of the No. 3 match.Â

Saint Francis claimed victory in three of the six singles matches.Â
Gregory Troyan won his match in the No. 6 slot 6-3, 6-1, improving his singles record to 6-8 on the season. Â
Alan Gonzalez made a sizable comeback in his 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 win from the No. 2 spot, saving four match points to keep himself alive and eventually earn the Red Flash a pivotal second singles point. The win marks Gonzalez's third in a row and his 12th singles victory on the season, a team best.Â
Tyler Nguyen's 6-4, 7-6 win from the No. 2 slot leveled the match at 3-3 for Saint Francis amidst their come from behind effort. Nguyen improved his singles record to 10-5 on the season.Â
