>>Saint Francis track and field will travel to York, Pa. to compete at the York Twilight College Meet hosted by York College of Pennsylvania Wednesday, Mar. 27.
>>The first events of the day will be discus, javelin, and shot put happening simultaneously at 1:45 p.m.
LAST TIME OUTÂ
The first indoor meet of the season at the Virginia Opener saw the teams combine for four first place finishes and 12 top-three performances. Nickolas Hyde(shot put), Marie-Therese Cooper(triple jump), Julian Saunders(100m dash), and Kameron Stevens(triple jump) took home the event victories for the squads.
Nickolas Hyde is now fourth all-time in Saint Francis history in outdoor shot put after taking first with a mark of 16.39m (53' 9.25").
Marie-Therese Cooper placed first in the triple jump with a jump of 11.59m (38' .25").
Julian Saunders clocked in a time of 10.82 in the 100m dash.
Kameron Stevens rounds out the top performers with a mark of 13.46m (44' 2").
RED FLASH AT YORK COLLEGE TWILIGHT MEET HISTORY
During the 2023 season, Saint Francis recorded four event victories and 16 top-five finishes at the York College Twilight Meet.Â
On the men's team, Hyde tallied a first-place finish in shot put with a throw of 16.34. John Flynn Jr. took home the victory in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:00.01.
The women's team saw the 4x800 relay team of Mariclare Anderson, Baylee Carpenter, Emma Fleck, and Monica Gregg finish with a time of 9:41.02 to claim first.
