Rachel Marsden was named Northeast Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. Both
Savannah Nash and
Grace Vesco joined Marsden as Prime Performers.

Marsden, a graduate student, went 5-for-10 with three runs scored, two doubles, one triple, one RBI and she drew one walk to carry a .545 on-base percentage. She added 13.0 shutout innings and went 2-0 after she allowed just three hits, three walks and recorded 11 strikeouts.

She recorded at least one hit in all-four games last week to extend her hitting streak to a new career-long of seven games. She carried a no-hitter through at least 4.1 innings in both of her appearances against Wagner. Her one hit allowed in six innings of game three was her third time this season allowing one hit in at least five innings pitched.

Marsden now ranks second in the conference with a 1.74 ERA and .191 batting average against. She adds a seventh-best 108 strikeouts and is tied for the conference least with 17 wins. At the plate she is 13th with a .322 batting average, five home runs and 23 RBIs. Her 27 runs scored are tied for 10th.

Nash, a sophomore, went 5-for-15 with four runs scored, one home run and five RBIs in Saint Francis' four-game week. She extended her career-long hitting streak to 11 games, which is tied for the longest by any active Red Flash player in a career –
Ashley Wruble had an 11-game streak in 2023. Nash is second in the NEC with 40 RBIs and is third with 35 runs scored.

Vesco, a graduate student, allowed four runs (one earned) on five hits with nine walks and 19 strikeouts in 15.2 innings pitched across three appearances last week. She took Penn State to extra innings last week and allowed just three hits in 8.0 innings pitched of the extra-inning loss. She leads the NEC with a 1.28 ERA, .130 batting average against and is second with 155 strikeouts in 141.2 innings pitched.

Marsden earned her fourth NEC Pitcher of the Week and first NEC Player of the Week this season. This is the second time in her career she earned both in the same week – the last was May 2, 2023.

Vesco earned her 10th NEC Prime Performer this season and is a selection in all-seven weeks of conference play. Nash is now an NEC Prime Performer in back-to-back weeks and four times this season.

Saint Francis concludes the regular season at home against Merrimack on May 4-5. Sunday marks Saint Francis' senior day.
