EBENSBURG, Pa. – Saint Francis University men's tennis fell just short in their match against Binghamton on Saturday, 4-3.
The Red Flash are now 10-6 on the year and suffered their first conference loss, sitting at 5-1 in the NEC this season. The loss brings their five game winning streak to an end.
Doubles
The Bearkats won the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches to claim what turned out to be a crucial doubles point.
Mathis Tremblay and Tyler Nguyen won their match from the No. 1 doubles slot 7-6 (7-3). They are now 10-6 as a pair and have won 12 and 17 total doubles matches respectively.
Alan Gonzalez and Kevin Kruzel lost a nailbiter in the No. 3 match, 7-6 (7-5).
Singles
The Red Flash won took wins from the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 singles matches, but it was not enough to claim the victory.
Marc Fuste won the No. 1 singles match 7-5, 5-7, 6-0 to earn his third singles win in a row and his ninth of the season.
Nguyen earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the No. 2 match to improve his record to 15-7 on the year and win his fourth match in a row.
Tremblay won the No. 4 match 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 to win his sixth match in a row and improve to 12-6 on the season.

Both Red Flash squads are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they visit Duquesne in Pittsburgh. The match is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
