TURNING POINTS
Saint Francis fought hard throughout the match, keeping the final set close. Trailing Lehigh, Hogan made the score 23-20.
Alex Dever earned an ace to make it a two-point game before an error earned the Mountain Hawks match point. An error by Lehigh kept the Red Flash in the set, but a kill by Lehigh dealt the final blow.
Trailing Morgan State 8-5 in the final set,
Drew Wallech's serving after an error by the Bears gave Saint Francis the lead with four consecutive aces for a 10-8 score. The Red Flash held onto the lead, going on a three-point run to secure the win.
Laney Wilson recorded a kill to make the score 23-18 and earn back the serve. Hogan tallied back-to-back aces, locking up the win.
FLASH MOMENTS
The Red Flash came out strong in the opening set against Lehigh, starting the match on a 4-0 run.
Alyssa Irwin got on the board first with a kill, with Hogan adding one of her own.
Alexandra Sappia tallied an ace before Irwin scored her second kill of the day.
Tying the first set against Morgan State at 16 apiece, the Red Flash went on a six-point run to take a 21-16 lead.
Aaliyah Toppin earned the side out and tacked on another kill with an error by the Bears keeping the momentum going. Toppin notched another kill, forcing Morgan State to take a timeout. Coming out of the timeout, Dever served back-to-back aces for a lead they would maintain the rest of the set.
With a narrow 22-21 lead in the second set, Hogan recorded two consecutive kills to earn set point. Irwin earned the final kill to give the Red Flash a two-set lead.
FLASH NUGGETS
Irwin tallied 10 kills against the Mountain Hawks.
Hogan also led the team in digs with 10 against Lehigh.
Emma Fenton recorded four service aces in the morning's match.
Toppin notched 12 kills in the evening's win.
Sappia led the team in assists with 20 against the Bears.
Wallech earned eight service aces versus Morgan State, a career-high for the senior and tied for most in a match in program history. She also led the team in blocks with two solo blocks.

The Red Flash will return to DeGol Arena to host Mercyhurst, Siena and UPenn in the Red Flash Classic on September 6 and 7.
