Lewisburg, Pa.- Saint Francis men's soccer will look to earn their second win of the season when they visit Bucknell on Saturday Sept. 7 at 7:00 p.m. 

Saint Francis So Far In 2024 

 Saint Francis enters the contest at 1-3-0 after losing 2-1 to Robert Morris on Wednesday Sept. 4. 

Joschi Schelb leads the Red Flash in goals and points with three goals and seven points. Schelb leads the NEC in goals, points, and shares the lead for assists with one. Rodrigo Mendes and Alex De Nittis also have one assist this season. 

Schelb is followed in goals and points by Fabian Wagner has four points from two goals so far this year. 

 Niclas Becker has made nine saves on the year so far, Milo Risenhoover has made six.  

The Word on Bucknell  

The Bison enter the contest at 2-1 after suffering a defeat to George Mason in their last match.  

Jack Lucas leads Bucknell in points with four, assists with two and is tied for the team lead in goals with one. Cade McGrath, Drew Roskos and Ben Sheffield have all tallied goals for the Bison in 2024. 

Freddie Lapworth has an outstanding .33 goals against average and a .909 save percentage through three matches. Those marks are good for 13th and 15th in the nation respectively. 

Last Time We Met  

Saint Francis and Bucknell last met on Sep. 12, 2023 in a match resulted in a 1-0 Red Flash win. Fabian Wagner put the Red Flash in front with a bicycle kick goal in the 72nd minute. 

Around The NEC  

FDU finally saw their first defeat of 2024 in a 4-1 loss to Dartmouth on Thursday night. Le Moyne and LIU have each won two matches. Chicago State and CCSU are in action on Friday night and five NEC teams are in action on Saturday.
