>> Emma Sawich had seven saves in goal for the Red Flash.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis and FDU matched up Sunday for a matinee game in Teaneck, N.J., at University Field. The entire first 45 minutes of the match was scoreless for both teams. FDU held control of the ball for the majority.

Within the first five minutes of the second half, the Knights put one into the back of the net. Three minutes later, Saint Francis suffered the consequences of an own goal, and was now down 2-0 with 37 minutes remaining in the second half. At the 73 minute mark, the Knights increased the lead to three over the Red Flash, and at this point, Saint Francis still had no shots recorded.

About seven minutes remain on the clock, Evangelia Barakos crossed the ball to the left side of the field to Fetterman. With a defender on her, she sends a shot from just outside the box and the Knights goalkeeper doesn't try to make an attempt with the anticipation of it going wide of the posts. However, the ball lands in the back of the net in the very top right corner of the goal and hands all went up in celebration for Fetterman's first career goal.

FLASH MOMENTS
Freshman, Fetterman, recorded to lone shot and lone goal for the Red Flash for the 90 minutes of the match.

Emma Sawich recorded seven goals for the Red Flash. These saves increase her season total to 118 so far.

FLASH NUGGETS
Fetterman's goal marks her first career goal at Saint Francis. During her high school career, she registered 101 goals and 89 assists for 290 points. She was a four-time all-Somerset County recipient and received the most valuable player award her senior year. Fetterman also helped her high school team win the 2023 District 5 Class 1A title her junior year and finished as runner-up in 2024.

Fetterman's goal for the Red Flash ended FDU's streak of shutouts in the last three games.
