TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Stonehill, just 22 minutes into the match, found the back of the net giving the Skyhawks an early lead. The Red Flash tested Stonehill's defense throughout the first half with five shots on goal.
During the second half, the Skyhawks took nine shots before putting another one between the posts giving them a 2-0 at the 63-minute mark. The Red Flash could not equalize and was out shot 24-24 and 13-5 with shots on goal.
FLASH MOMENTS
Garciarena kept Stonehill from taking a larger lead with 11 key saves in goal with 24 shots faced.
Early on and again at 24 minutes, Harry Elmore took a shot on goal but missed high.
Jonah Wolf had some opportunities of his own taking a shot right before the 28-minute mark, however it was saved by the Skyhawks goalkeeper and the next hit the cross bar during the second half, respectively.
Elmore, Thiago Pires, Thero Mitchell III, and Álvaro Planas each had shots on goal in the second half that were saved by Stonehill's keeper.
FLASH NUGGETS
Brendan French made his first Red Flash start in Thursday's matchup against Stonehill. The sophomore recorded 36 minutes on the pitch.
