WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
After a slow start for the Red Flash going down 8-6, Paloma Gonzalez Jaramillo found fuel to widen the gap in Saint Francis's favor. Alexandra Sappia set up a perfect assist for Alyssa Irwin to send down the middle for a kill. Mercyhurst could not handle the heat causing several service and attacking errors to help give Saint Francis the lead 11-9. Alexa Chapla set herself up for a service ace to give the Red Flash some breathing room. Kori McClure slammed down a kill from Sappia to claim the first set and never looked back. Saint Francis went on to sweep the Lakers 3-0.
FLASH MOMENTS
Saint Francis started the second set on a roll with a 10-3 run. Korrin Burns led the run with three kills, two assisted by Sappia and one by Hailey Atkins. Next up was McClure registering two more kills and Irwin threw in another one. Chapla tossed in an ace amongst the surge. Sappia set up a dime for Burns to lay down on the left side to gain another set.
With a large gap during the last set, the Red Flash gave no mercy in gaining another run, this time 4-1. McClure aided in three of the four plays for Saint Francis including a kill for herself, service ace, and an assist to Gwen Atkins. To close out the night the Red Flash went on a 4-0 run for the victory. Sappia assisted on all four kills, setting up three balls for Burns and another one for the Player of the Week, McClure.
FLASH NUGGETS
Burns, the four-time NEC Player of the Week and NEC Prime Performer, finished the evening with 22 kills and four digs.
McClure, the current NEC Player of the Week, registered 10 kills and two service aces.
Gwen Atkins, the three-time NEC Rookie of the Week, added six digs and three kills.
Chandler Alter led the Red Flash with nine digs and two aces.
Sappia finished the match with 42 assists and threw in three digs. Sappia has earned NEC Prime Performer distinction each week of the 2025 season.
Chapla had seven digs and threw in two service aces.
Gonzalez Jaramillo and Irwin recorded seven kills each on the night.
