OPENING SERVE
Saint Francis University women's tennis teams continue their 2025-26 season on the road as they compete in the Northeast ITA Regional Championships at the Hamlin/Hecht Tennis Centers in Philadelphia, Pa. 

LAST TIME AT THAT EVENT
Last time at this event, The Red Flash picked up two singles wins at the tournament. During the affair, Dasha Chichkina and Kelly Dowuona each won a consolation match after falling in the qualifying round.

NEXT TIME OUT 
The Saint Francis Red Flash continues their fall campaign of the 2025-26 season next weekend as they travel to Buffalo, N.Y., to take on the Buffalo Bulls on Sunday, Oct. 19th. 

ALL-TIME LEADER
On September 6, Senior Kelly Dowuona became the program's all-time leader in combined wins, setting the record with 59 victories. As of writing, Kelly is currently 6-5 on the season in singles and 10-6 in doubles competition. Last season, she posted a 24-12 singles record and a 21-14 doubles record. Her 24 singles wins are tied for the second-most in a single season in program history. Dasha Chichkina also achieved 24 singles wins in 2024-25.

ABOUT THE COACH
Head coach Eric Hovan begins his fifth season in Loretto and has helped both the men's and women's teams to new heights. In 2023-24, he was named NEC Coach of the Year after helping the men to its second appearance in the NEC Championship Game. Last season, the women's tennis team made the NEC Championship Game for the first time in program history.
