Sophomore Sofia Marciano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Del Viso Day School), a member of the Saint Francis field hockey team, has been named to the All Eastern College Athletic Conference first team, becoming just the third player in program history to earn the honor.Â
Marciano emerged as one of the Red Flash's leading offensive players this season. She ended the 2025 campaign with 19 goals and two assists, ranking 11th in Division I in goals per game (1.00) and 17th in points per game (2.11). Her 19 goals are the second most in Saint Francis single-season history, and her 40 points also rank second on the program chart. Her scoring prowess was particularly evident on September 28, when she recorded six goals in a 7–0 win over Merrimack, tying for the second-most goals in a single game in NCAA history. Marciano also received the second-most awards on the team this year, including two Offensive Player of the Week honors, five Prime Performer titles, All-NEC First Team honors, and National Field Hockey Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team.Â
In addition to the sophomore, two other Saint Francis field hockey players have selected to an All-ECAC team. Looking back at the record book, the first Red Flash to earn selection in program history was Autumn Pellman in 2014, after her 47-point season. Just two seasons later, Shannon Pereira earned the first-ever All-ECAC First Team selection after recording 26 points on the season.Â
