Saint Francis and Toledo have met eight times for a 3-5 record. The Rockets won the most recent matchup just last weekend at the Gamecock Invitational, 8-1. The two will play each other again in the FIU Classic on Feb. 28.

THE WORD ON UNCG
UNCG is 3-2 to start the season, defeating Elon 9-2 in their most recent outing. The Spartans were chosen second in the Southern Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Grace Loftin leads the Spartans with 12 hits and a .632 batting average. The senior was named to the SoCon Preseason First Team, as well. Meredith Harwood has 27 putouts to lead UNCG. Their leading pitcher, Salem Ward, has a 2.52 ERA and has struck out 13 batters so far this year.

Saint Francis stands at 1-8 against UNCG. The Spartans won the last meeting 3-1 in the Spartan Classic in 2022.
THE WORD ON MERRIMACK
Merrimack is beginning its season at the Spiro Classic. Last season, they finished 19-34 overall with a 12-12 conference record. Now in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference, Merrimack was selected ninth in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Ellen Hubbard led the Warriors last season with 54 hits and a .342 batting average. Madeline Arvai tallied 198 putouts to lead Merrimack.
LAST TIME WE MET THE WARRIORS
Saint Francis is 13-1 against the former Northeast Conference member. The Red Flash defeated the Warriors 1-0 in nine innings to conclude last year's regular season and to complete a perfect 24-0 conference record.
This is the first of two games against the Warriors, as they will meet again in the Ohio State Tournament on March 7.

Savannah Nash for the lone run of the game. In the game against East Carolina, Nash earned a two-run home run. Nash was named NEC Player of the Week and
AB Cipalla picked up NEC Rookie of the Week.
