University Park, Pa. – Saint Francis Men's Tennis dropped their match at Penn State on Saturday morning, 6-1.
DoublesÂ
The Red Flash won the no. 1 and 3 doubles matches to earn the doubles point against the Nittany Lions. Tyler Nguyen and Alan Gonzalez won the no. 1 doubles match 6-4, while Kevin Titus Suresh and Matt Kozar won the no. 3 match 6-2.
Patrick Reese and Kevin Kruzel nearly won the no. 2 doubles contest, but fell in a hard-fought 7-6 (7-2) match.
SinglesÂ
The Red Flash saw defeat to Penn State in all six singles matches resulting in a 6-1 Nittany Lions victory.
Gonzalez, Titus Suresh, Gregory Troyan, Kevin Kruzel, Reese and Kozar made up the singles competitors.
Flash Facts
Gonzalez hit the 20-win milestone in doubles with his win alongside Nguyen today. The win was Nguyen's 39th doubles victory.
Nguyen is now one win shy of 60 overall wins in his career, while Gonzalez is two away from 50 overall wins.
