Softball Drops Season Opener to Toledo

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

TURNING POINT
The Rockets scored three runs in the first inning, tallying their first on an error.

FLASH MOMENTS
In the bottom of the sixth, Nash singled up the middle. With Sofia Zielinski at bat, Nash stole second before advancing to third on a ground out to first by Zielinski. Ulam then grounded out to second with Nash scoring.

FLASH NUGGETS
AB Cipalla went 3-3 in her collegiate debut.

Defensively, Ulam led the team with six putouts.

Allie Braly pitched for 5.2 innings and allowed six runs (four earned) with one strikeout and two walks.
