Olivia Kolowitz singled up the left side in the bottom of the fifth, tallying an RBI. Savannah Nash recorded an RBI on a single to right field, with AB Cipalla hitting a sacrifice fly to widen Saint Francis's lead to 8-4. With Hannah Bendle and Nash on base, a double by Addie Smith scored the final runs of the game.
FLASH MOMENTS
Saint Francis tallied seven runs in the fifth inning of the first game to take a commanding 8-1 lead. Nash hit a double, making it to third on the throw and allowing
Hannah Bendle to score.
Sofia Zielinski singled to center field with Cipalla scoring. Garroway added on another single with Ulam making it home. With bases loaded, Kolowitz hit a single to give Zielinski the scoring opportunity for a 5-1 lead. After a pitching change by the Skyhawks, Bendle hit a double, advancing on the throw and tallying three RBIs.
With bases loaded in the bottom of the second, the Red Flash tallied three runs on walks to take a 3-2 lead. After a change in the circle for Stonehill, Nash fouled out to right field, giving Annabelle Farmer the opportunity to score.
FLASH NUGGETS
Bendle went 4-for-4 in the doubleheader with four RBIs. Garroway went 6-for-8 with five RBIs, including the game-winning grand slam in game one.
Olivia Ulam had 16 putouts on the day.
Allie Braly and Kolowitz each pitched complete games. Braly allowed two earned runs with five strikeouts and one walk in the first win. In the second game, Kolowitz allowed six runs (five earned) with two strikeouts and three walks.
