Softball Falls to Florida International

TURNING POINT
The Panthers took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning. In the fifth inning, FIU scored three runs to pull ahead 5-1.

FLASH MOMENT
Sofia Zielinski hit the ball over the head of the right fielder and over the fence, putting the Red Flash on the board in the bottom of the fourth.

FLASH NUGGETS
Zielinski went 1-for-1 with her home run and two walks.

Olivia Kolowitz pitched for 4.1 innings, allowing five runs (four earned) with one strikeout and four walks. Addison Deal pitched in relief for the remaining 1.2 innings, allowing just one hit with one strikeout and one walk.
