Men's Tennis Falls To Lehigh

Ebensburg, Pa. – The Saint Francis University Men's Tennis team fell 5-2 to Lehigh in their match on Sunday afternoon.

Doubles 
The Mountain Hawks narrowly won the no. 1 and 2 doubles matches to claim the doubles point.

Tyler Nguyen and Mathis Tremblay lost the no. 1 match 6-7 (4-7). Kevin Kruzel and Patrick Reese lost the no. 2 match by the same score.

Alan Gonzalez and Kevin Titus Suresh won the no. 3 match 7-5. Gonzalez is now 12-9 in doubles on the year and Titus Suresh is 11-10.

Singles 
Lehigh won the no. 2, 3, 4 and 6 singles matches to earn their 5-2 win.

Nguyen won the no. 1 singles match in straight sets via a 6-0, 6-3 result. The Fountain Valley, Calif., native earned his sixth singles win of the campaign.

Matt Kozar won the no. 5 singles match 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 and improved to 7-5 in singles competition on the year.

Gonzalez, Titus Suresh, Reese and Kruzel played in the no. 2, 3, 4 and 6 slots respectively.

Flash Facts
Nguyen is now just two singles wins away from hitting the 25-win milestone. The 2024 NEC Rookie of the Year moves into a tie for ninth place with Andres Rosa for total career wins at 61.

Gonzalez is only one doubles win shy of the 25-win mark on the doubles side. The Mission, Texas native is four wins away from 60 total wins in his career.
