Softball Dominates in Run-Rule Victory Over Le Moyne

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Softball took down Le Moyne in a run-rule victory, winning 9-0 in five innings. Saint Francis extends their Northeast Conference record to 6-0 in the win.

>> Allie Braly set a new career high with seven strikeouts and earned the first no-hitter in her career.


TURNING POINTS
With Savannah Nash and AB Cipalla on base, Addie Smith hit the ball just out of the park into center field to improve the Red Flash's lead to 9-0 in the bottom of the fourth.

In the top of the fifth, Le Moyne's first batter ground out to Smith at second base. Braly struck out the last two batters for the Dolphins, the first looking and the second swinging, to earn the win.


FLASH MOMENTS
After singles by Nash and Cipalla, Smith and Olivia Ulam singled up the middle, making the score 2-0. Aliya Garroway hit a single through the right side, tacking on a third run of the day. Annabelle Farmer hit a sacrifice fly to take a 4-0 lead after the first inning.

With Hannah Bendle on second, Nash hit a home run into center field, pulling ahead 6-0 in the bottom of the fourth.


FLASH NUGGETS
Smith went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a home run.

Bendle, Garroway and Nash each stole a base against the Dolphins.

Farmer and Ulam recorded seven putouts apiece.

Braly faced 17 batters, striking out seven and walking two in the no-hitter.
