TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
Stonehill closed the first half on a 6-2 run to take the lead for good. The Red Flash cut it to one goal three times in the second half but could not find the game-tying score.
FLASH MOMENTS
Saint Francis scored four of the game's first six goals to take a 4-2 lead and a 5-3 edge after one quarter. Lacey got the Red Flash on the scoreboard with a tally at 12:32 before Givens gave the squad a 2-1 edge off a feed by Patten 65 seconds later.
Elizabeth Mahmud found the back of the net at 9:37, and Patten set up Delbone's first score of the day at 5:08 in the opening quarter. Patten capped the scoring in the first quarter off a connection from Lacey with 89 seconds left in the frame.
The Patten-Delbone connection happened again at 11:38 in the second quarter, and Lacey found the back of the net for the second time in the afternoon in the frame with 4:28 left in the half.
The birthday girl had two assists in the third quarter, setting up Givens 42 seconds into the second half and
Samantha Hewitt at 5:19 before Patten posted her second tally with 4:47 left in the third quarter.
Givens scored with 11:26 left in the fourth quarter for the only goal by the Flash.
FLASH NUGGETS
Patten has posted at least five points for the second time this season, three points for the fifth time in 2025, and the sixth time in her career. Patten and Lacey are tied for the team lead in points thanks to 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points.
Delbone posted a career-high four points for the second time and a personal-best two assists. The freshman last had four points after she scored four goals against Charlotte on March 4. She has 12 goals and six assists for 18 points.
Lacey finished the week with five goals and an assist after posting three markers against Mercyhurst on Wednesday. The junior has registered two tallies and an assist three times and five points five times this season. Lacey has 21 goals and five assists for 26 points.Â
Givens registered her second hat trick and fourth multi-goal performance of the year.Â
Elizabeth Garcia paced the defense with five ground balls and four caused turnovers. It is the third time she has caused at least four miscues and had five ground balls. She leads the team in both categories with 28 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
Chyler Espino posted three ground balls and two draw controls. Espino moved into seventh place in ground balls for her career with 95 and can become the fourth player in team history with 100 draw controls and 100 ground balls with five more ground balls. She is also on the doorstep of joining the top 10 in caused turnovers her career, with one caused miscue away from joining the group.
Victoria DiRenno added a career-high seven draw controls. The senior had a career-best six draws coming into the match, including six against Akron in the season opener on February 11.
