Track & Field Returns To Bucknell For Bison Outdoor Classic

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Saint Francis track & field will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to compete in the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell University on April 11-12. It will be held at Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium.

>> The women's 800-meter dash will kick off events on the 11th at 11:30 a.m. The events on the 12th will begin with women's pole vault and men's high jump at 10:30 a.m.

>> Twenty-five athletes will compete at the meet on the 11th. On the 12th, thirty-one members will participate.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash last competed at the Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary on April 3-5. The men's team finished eighth out of 32 teams with 36 points while the women took ninth out of 29 teams with 28 points.

The teams finished with a combined 19 top-8 finishes and had one athlete from the women's team claim an event victory.

Carly Sedun, Julian Saunders and Clark Gulycz earned Northeast Conference Prime Performer for their performances. Sedun and Saunders have received the honor three-straight times to start the outdoor season. Gulycz claimed his second.

Sedun became a Colonial Relays champion in the women's hammer throw with a NEC-best mark of 49.79m.

Saunders placed second in the men's 100-meter dash (10.46) and the 4x200 relay with Peyton Myers, Eaghan Kieff and Dylan Sutton (1:28.47). He also took sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.50.
 

Gulycz finished third in the men's shot put with a toss of 16.43m, the best mark by any athlete in the conference so far during the outdoor season.

RED FLASH AT COLONIAL RELAYS HISTORY
This weekend's meet will mark the third-straight time that Saint Francis has competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic, and the fourth time since the 2017-18 season.

At the 2024 meet, seven athletes finished in the top-10 and one athlete won their event. David Niang took first in the men's 100-meter dash.

Track & Field will conclude the regular season at DeGol Field when they host the Red Flash Open on Saturday, April 26.
