Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis teams both saw defeats against Duquesne on Sunday afternoon.
The men's team lost 5-2 and the women's team lost 4-3
Women's Tennis
Saint Francis 3, Duquesne 4.
Doubles
The Dukes won all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead over the Red Flash. Diana Zuba and Dasha Chichkina lost 6-2 in the no. 1 match, Reagen Mangan and Sara Jankovic lost 6-4 in the no. 2 match, and the team of Sophia Cunningham and Morgan Tuffs lost 6-4 in the no. 3 match.
Singles
Saint Francis earned wins in the no. 4, 5 and 6 singles matches, but could not come up with the final point they needed for a win on the day.
Kelly Dowuona won 7-5 (7-5), 6-4 in the no. 4 match. The Brampton, Ontario native improves to 21-11 in singles on the year with her victory.
Kally Kadzinski earned a 0-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) win in the no. 5 match. The sophomore is now 19-11 in singles this season.
Jankovic won the no. 6 match 6-2, 6-3 to earn her eighth singles victory of the year.
Zuba and Chichkina dropped the no. 1 and 2 matches in three sets, while Mangan lost the no. 3 match 4-6, 4-6.

Saint Francis 2, Duquesne 5.
Doubles
The Dukes won the no. 1 and 2 doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
Alan Gonzalez and Kevin Titus Suresh did earn a 6-2 victory in the no. 3 match. The duo are now an even 2-2 when playing together this season. Gonzalez improves to 13-10 individually in doubles, while Titus Suresh moves to 12-11.
Singles
Saint Francis won the no. 4 and 5 singles matches to get themselves two points in the match.
Titus Suresh earned his second win of the day in a 1-6, 6-0, 7-5 result. The freshman is now 17-7 in singles this season.
Mathis Tremblay claimed the final Red Flash win of the match with a 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-4) win in the no. 4 slot. The Montreal, Quebec native is now 7-6 in singles this season.

Tremblay won his 50th career match with his singles triumph.
Kadzinski and Dowuona have now each won four singles matches in a row.
Titus Suresh is now one win away from 30 career wins.
