BOX SCORE 2 Altoona, Pa. – The Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis teams both concluded their 2025 regular season campaigns with matches against Mercyhurst on Sunday afternoon. The women's team won 6-1 and the men's team lost 4-0.
The Red Flash women are now 14-7 on the year, while the men are 6-12.
Women's Tennis
Saint Francis 6, Mercyhurst 1.
Doubles
The Red Flash swept doubles play to earn the doubles point against the Lakers.
Diana Zuba and
Dasha Chichkina won the no. 1 doubles match, 6-3. The pair are now 18-16 on the season together and 19-17 individually.
Sara Jankovic and
Reagen Mangan were victorious in the no. 2 match, 6-4. The duo have a record of 15-9 when teaming up this season. Jankovic is 18-12 in doubles on the year and Mangan is 16-11.
Kelly Dowuona and
Kally Kadzinski won the no. 3 doubles match, 6-4. The tandem improve to 14-7 together this year. Dowuona is now 20-13 in doubles and Kadzinski is 18-11.
Singles
Saint Francis won all but the no. 6 match to make it a 6-1 final result.
Zuba battled to a 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 1-0 (10-4). The sophomore is now 24-9 in singles on the year.
Chichkina earned a 6-3, 6-4 win in the no. 2 spot, improving to 23-8 this season.
Dowuona cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 victory in the no. 3 position, making her 23-11 for the year.
Mangan earned an emphatic 6-2, 6-1 win in the no. 4 slot, marking her sixth solo win of the season.
Kadzinski also won in straight sets, via a 6-4, 6-4 result. The Parkland, Fla. native moves to 21-11 in singles this year.
Men's Tennis
Saint Francis 0, Mercyhurst 4.
Doubles
The Lakers won the no. 1 and 3 doubles ties to take a 1-0 lead over the Red Flash.
Mathis Tremblay and
Kevin Kruzel won the no. 2 match 7-5 to avoid a doubles sweep. The duo are now 2-0 when pairing up this season.
Singles
The Lakers won the no. 1, 3 and 5 singles matches to clinch their shutout. The no. 2 and 5 matches went unfinished, while the no. 6 match never started.
Alan Gonzalez,
Kevin Titus Suresh, Tremblay,
Patrick Reese and
Matt Kozar were the five singles competitors for Saint Francis in the contest.
Flash Facts
Dowuona and Kadzinski have each won six singles matches in a row.
Kevin Kruzel earned his 30th career doubles win on the day.
Zuba and Mangan each won the 30th doubles match of their respective careers. Zuba is now just three wins away from 80 total wins for her career. The Marlboro, N.J., native is also just three wins away from 50 singles wins and set a career-best for singles wins in a season at 24.
Dowuona continues to cement her place at the top of the all-time leaderboard for Saint Francis. The Brampton, Ontario, native has now garnered 108 victories in her storied career.

The Red Flash will begin postseason play next week. Match opponents and times are yet to be revealed, but the NEC Championships will span from Apr. 15-19. The respective winners of the men's and women's NEC Championships will book themselves a trip to the NCAA Tournament if they are eligible to compete in the event.
