LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University softball head coach
Beth Krysiak has announced that she has stepped down to pursue another coaching opportunity.
"While I am sad to see Beth go, I am excited for the opportunity in front of her at Boston College," said Saint Francis Director of Athletics Jim Brazill. "Not only are we in the business of developing student-athletes, but we also develop coaches and their careers. Beth is a great person first, a great coach, and was an outstanding fit for Saint Francis University. We are grateful for her two years in Loretto and continuing the softball championship legacy she inherited."
Krysiak served as the Red Flash coach for the past two seasons (2024-25), leading the team to a 67-43 overall record and a 38-7 record in Northeast Conference (NEC) play at Saint Francis. Krysiak guided the Loretto program to the NEC Tournament title and NCAA berths in both seasons, along with the NEC regular season title in 2024. In the 2024 NCAA Tournament, Saint Francis defeated Siena in the elimination game to earn the program's second-ever NCAA Tournament victory. She coached one NEC Player of the Year (
Savannah Nash, 2025), one NEC Pitchers of the Year (
Grace Vesco, 2024), one NEC Gold Glover (
Olivia Ulam, 2025), and 15 all-conference selections (11 first-team performers and four second-team selections). The team also excelled in the classroom and the community, with
Rachel Marsden being named the 2024 NEC Student-Athlete of the Year, NEC Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and an NCAA Woman of the Year nominee in that same season, while Ulam was named the 2025 NEC Team Student-Athlete of the Year.
A national search for the 14th head coach in softball program history will begin immediately.
