OPENING SERVE
Saint Francis University women's tennis team continues its 2025-26 season on the road as they compete in the annual Bucknell Invitational this weekend.  
LAST TIME AT THAT EVENT
When the Red Flash last took part in this event, they won a total of 19 singles matches and 10 doubles matches. Seniors Kelly Dowuona and Sophomores Dasha Chichkina and Morgan Tuffs played a massive role for the team, accounting for a large share of the Red Flash players who won multiple singles matches in the tournament.  
NEXT TIME OUT 
The Saint Francis women's tennis team is back in action again next weekend as they travel to the Northeast Conference Individual tournaments on Friday, Sept. 19th, to Sunday, the 21st.  
ALL-TIME LEADER
Senior Kelly Dowuona is the program's all-time leader in combined wins, and as of Friday, the 6th of September, the all-time leader in singles matches with 59 victories. Last season, she posted a 24-12 singles record and a 21-14 doubles record. Her 24 singles wins are tied for the second-most in a single season in program history. Dasha Chichkina also achieved 24 singles wins in 2024-25.
ABOUT THE COACH
Head coach Eric Hovan begins his fifth season in Loretto and has helped both the men's and women's teams to new heights. In 2023-24, he was named NEC Coach of the Year after helping the men to its second appearance in the NEC Championship Game. Last season, the women's tennis team made the NEC Championship Game for the first time in program history.
