OPENING SERVE
Saint Francis University's men's and women's tennis teams continue their 2025-26 season on the road as they compete in the annual Northeast Conference Individuals Tournament in Binghamton, NY. 
LAST TIME AT THAT EVENT
Three Red Flash doubles teams made it to the A final, and three singles players advanced to the A semifinals. Sophia Cunningham took both her doubles matches at the tournament, while Kevin Titus Suresh won the C men's singles flight, going 3-0 in singles play. Kelly Dowuona and Dasha Chichkina also claimed multiple wins in the tournament. 
NEXT TIME OUT 
Next weekend, the Saint Francis women's tennis team hits the road again to the Northeast ITA Regional Championships at the University of Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, the Saint Francis men's tennis team is back in action at the annual Carnegie Mellon Invitational in Pittsburgh. 
ALL-TIME LEADER
Senior Kelly Dowuona is the program's all-time leader in combined wins, and as of Friday, the 6th of September, the all-time leader in singles matches with 59 victories. Last season, she posted a 24-12 singles record and a 21-14 doubles record. Her 24 singles wins are tied for the second-most in a single season in program history. Dasha Chichkina also achieved 24 singles wins in 2024-25.
ABOUT THE COACH
Head coach Eric Hovan begins his fifth season in Loretto and has helped both the men's and women's teams to new heights. In 2023-24, he was named NEC Coach of the Year after helping the men to its second appearance in the NEC Championship Game. Last season, the women's tennis team made the NEC Championship Game for the first time in program history.
