TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
With the game tied 20 all, the Red Flash went on a fueling 5-1 run to take the third set. Kori McClure and Gwen Atkins led the run with two kills apiece. Hailey Atkins set up Burns for a kill in the surge as well. Saint Francis never looked back and claimed the 3-1 victory.
FLASH MOMENTSÂ
Saint Francis capitalized off of a Duquesne service error, which brought the set to 17 all, to then go on a 4-0 run. Alexandra Sappia controlled this run with two aces and an assist for a Gwen Atkins kill. McClure set up an assist for a Burns kill to take control. A huge duo block by Alyssa Irwin and Atkins gave Irwin the fuel to lay one down the middle for set one.Â
The Red Flash started off slow in the fourth set down 12-9. Sappia set up a dime of a kill for Burns to lay down, bringing momentum for Saint Francis. Saint Francis continued to go on a 7-2 run powered by two Burns kills and two Irwin blocks. Alexa Chapla tossed over a service ace in the power surge to take the last set. Â Â
FLASH NUGGETS
Burns, the three-time NEC Player of the Week this year, finished the afternoon with 29 kills and nine digs. This put her at 15 20+ kills throughout her collegiate career. Â
McClure threw in nine kills and three digs. She was also named to the All-Tournament team from this weekend.Â
Paloma Gonzalez Jaramillo collected nine kills. Â

Gwen Atkins, the current NEC Rookie of the Week, added in seven kills, two aces, four blocks, and 10 digs.  Â
Chandler Alter had 14 digs for the Red Flash.Â
Sappia finished the match with 49 assists, two aces, and five digs. Sappia has earned NEC Prime Performer distinction in the first three weeks of the season.Â
Irwin registered eight kills and five blocks, including a solo. Â
