Kevin Titus Suresh, a sophomore on the Saint Francis Men's Tennis team, won the NEC Singles Championship and earned a spot in the ITA Masters, which will take place in San Diego from November 6 to 9. This event serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Tournament, set to be held at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, from November 18 to 23.
Suresh is no stranger to success in the NEC. Last year, he wrapped up the season with an impressive 18-8 singles record and took home the NEC Rookie of the Year award.
This marks only the second year the conference has hosted singles and doubles championships. In the previous year, Tyler Nguyen and Mathis Tremblay claimed the doubles title, while Diana Zuba and Dasha Chichkina finished second. Although Mercyhurst was disqualified due to being a transitional school, Chichkina and Zuba still got to attend the Masters.Â
