TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
During Saint Francis' conference matchup with LIU Thursday, the Red Flash quickly put a number on the board when Kerr scored in the 11th minute. During the 31st minute, Korpics sent one to the back of the net, giving the Red Flash a 2-0 lead.
The Sharks quickly answered back 40 seconds later with a goal of its own. Right before the 39th minute mark, LIU tied up the game making it two-all. During the second half, the Sharks came out attacking and took the lead at 6 minutes in. The Red Flash attempted to get the score back to even, taking eight shots, but the Sharks defense had a clean second half.
FLASH MOMENTS
Maggie Ratchford and Kerr both had scoring chances that hit the crossbar at 13:36 and 62:23,respectively. Kerr had another when she struck the right post at the 23:51 mark.
In the first half, Lucia Johnson and Caterina Schiavo had scoring opportunities that were both saved by the LIU goalkeeper.
During the second half, the Red Flash had five shots on goal all saved by the Sharks' goalkeeper, including Anouk Landgraff, Johnson, Korpics, and Kerr.
Kaitlyn Dempster, Meredith Artz, Mercedez Paino, and Lauren Persichetty each had a chances of their own throughout the match.
Emma Sawich had four saves for the Red Flash.
FLASH NUGGETS
Kerr scored her second goal of her collegiate career. Korpics had her third goal of her senior season for the Red Flash.
