YOUNGSTOWN INVITATIONAL HISTORY
The last time Saint Francis attended this meet was back during the 2012-2013 season. The women's team took ninth place with six top 10 finishes including a fifth place performance from Brittany Johnson in the 60 meter dash. Johnson won the NEC outdoor Championship in the 100m and 200m dash.Â
The men's team finished seventh during the invitation with eight top 10 performances. Ryan Steinbugl placed fifth in pole vault with a mark of 4.45 meters. As a junior, Steinbugl recorded a 4.80 meter mark in pole vault during the NYC Gotham Cup.Â

The women's team accumulated seven top 10Â performances.
Olivia Renk finished in second place in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.75.Â
Gabriella del Pielago ran a 59.48 400 meter dash to give herself sixth place. For the 800 meter run,
Mackenzie Hirt placed ninth with a time of 59.48.
Morgan McNaughton placed sixth in the 1000 meter run for the Red Flash.Â

Claire Henry jumped her way into seventh place in the pole vault with 3.40m.Â
The men's team registered eight top 10 finishes on the day.Â
Collin Dreese took 10th on the day for the Red Flash with a time of 2:39.30.Â

Nick Kupniewski run their way into fourth place for the men's 4x800 meter relay. They ran a time of 8:28.55. SophomoreÂ
Ayden Martinage, took fifth place due to his 1.85m jump during the men's high jump.
Dylan Andrews completed a 4.40 meter leap to get himself sixth place in pole vault.Â
Tyler Craft registered a 6.81 meter jump to earn himself seventh place in the long jump.Â
Garrett Damewood claimed eighth place with a jump of 12.54m during his debut in the triple jump.
Clark Gulycz took second for Saint Francis. He recorded a throw of 17.06 meters in shot put.Â
Joseph Sevison threw 16.66 meters to gain seventh place in the weight throw.Â
NEC PRESEASON POLLÂ
Saint Francis women's track & field was picked fifth in the NEC Preseason Poll. Wagner earned five first-place votes and earned the distinction of being the preseason favorite. Stonehill and CCSU both gained two first-place nods to finish in second and third place. Chicago State gained the last vote for first-place, finishing in fourth. After the Red Flash in fifth place, FDU, LIU, New Haven, Mercyhurst, and Le Moyne round out the ten-team poll.Â

Saint Francis will travel south to attend the VMI relays in Virginia. This will take place on February 6 and 7.Â
