WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOWÂ
The Saint Francis men's tennis team won its first match of the 2025-26 season, beating the Le Moyne Dolphins, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon at the Ebensburg Tennis Center in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ Â
In doubles action, Saint Francis started strong, winning the crucial lone doubles point. The duo of sophomore Kevin Titus Suresh and senior Gregory Troyan secured the point on court one with a score of 6-4. Sophomores Blake Lorenzo and Beau Welker followed suit, winning their match, 6-3.
In singles play, the Red Flash won four of six matches. Titus Suresh showcased his skill in a three-set marathon that included a second-set tiebreaker, finishing with scores of 6-4, 6-7, and 6-2. Troyan added another victory on court two, defeating his opponent, 6-2, 6-4. Freshman Jonah Ng claimed his second match of the year, winning in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. Sophomore Noah Potts secured the final victory on court five, winning decisively, 6-2,6-2.
NEXT TIME OUTÂ
The men's tennis team returns to action on Friday, Feb.13, as the Red Flash travels to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to take on the Carnegie Mellon Tartans. Time and location are still to be determined.
