WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Saint Francis softball dropped their game three decision to FDU by a score of 9-1 on Saturday afternoon at FDU Softball Field in Teaneck, NJ. Sophomore Sofia Zielinski's 34th RBI was responsible for today's lone run.
FLASH MOMENTS
The Red Flash found themselves trailing entering the top of the third inning after FDU scored six runs on five hits. However, as they always do, Saint Francis attempted to rally, starting with singles by junior Marianne Labelle and senior Annabelle Farmer. Zielinski, a clutch hitter all year, quickly took advantage, dropping a single into right field to score Labelle, giving Saint Francis its lone run of the afternoon and making the score 6-1.
FLASH NUGGETSÂ
As the season approaches its conclusion, junior Aliya Garroway is closing in on a historic record. After reaching base in today's game with a walk and a hit, she is now on a 30-game on-base streak, just one game shy of Jordan Seneca's 31-game record set in 2017.
