FLASH MOMENTS
Zetrouer remains in the top five at the NEC Championships in Ellicott City, Md. The freshman carded a 77 on the day, shooting a 39 (+4) on the front nine and a 38 (+2) on the back nine. She recorded 10 pars and one birdie on the round. Over the course of the two rounds, Zetrouer carded a total score of 152, with one more round to go.
Bryn Sorge jumped 12 places to make her way to 17th on the individual leaderboard. The sophomore carded a 79 on the day, adding to her total score of 161. Sorge made her first appearance back on the course this spring season at the Rutgers Invitational. She shot a 38 (+3) on the front nine and a 41 (+5) on the back nine. She also tallied nine pars and two birdies. With one round to go, the Harrison, Ohio native has a total score of 161.
Competing for this round for the Red Flash is Meghan Zambruno (32nd, 165), Camille Gagnon (49th, 172), and Abigail McCorkell (68th, 92)
The Red Flash are still currently in sixth place with a two-round team score of 650.
The top five teams following day one of the NECs include FDU (607), Howard (616), North Carolina Central (635), UMES (638), and Chicago State (647).
