This past weekend, the Red Flash competed in their final home series of the 2026 season against the Sharks of LIU in a rematch of the 2025 NEC Softball Championship. In that three-game set, senior Annabelle Farmer and freshman Olivia Hood contributed significantly to their team's success, earning recognition from the conference in this week's awards.

For the third time this season, Hood was named NEC Rookie of the Week for her offensive efforts in the final home series. In her 11 at-bats, the rookie produced seven hits, driving in five RBIs, including her second career home run.

For the second time this season, Farmer received recognition from the conference for her performances both at the plate and at first base. Last weekend, in her 11 at-bats during her final home game in Loretto, the veteran tallied five hits, three RBIs, and two home runs.

Saint Francis softball wraps up the 2026 season with a final home series in Staten Island, NY, as they take on NEC foe Wagner. The three-game series begins with a doubleheader on Saturday, May 2, with the first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
