Saint Francis women's swimming senior Sara Turner has been named NEC Winter Scholar-Athlete.
The award recognizes student-athletes who have excelled both academically and athletically, maintaining at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA while competing with distinction for their team.
Turner, a Health Science/Physical Therapy major from Enola, Pa., carried a 3.91 GPA and has earned a spot on the NEC Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's Honor Roll all four years of her career.
In the pool, Turner was a two-time NEC Swimmer of the Week and played a major role at the NEC Championships. She captured the conference title in the 400-yard individual medley, finished second in the 200-yard butterfly, and placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley.
Turner's Scholar-Athlete honor caps off an outstanding career marked by success in both the classroom and the pool.
