HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Saint Francis Red Flash women's swimming team wrapped up the final day of the NEC Championships with a strong showing at the SPIRE Academy, marking the program's last meet in the Northeast Conference before reclassification to Division III.
The highlight of the session came in the 200-yard butterfly, where Sara Turner delivered a standout performance, finishing second overall to earn a podium spot and close her NEC career on a high note.
Saint Francis also saw multiple swimmers advance into A finals, with Maura Rubio, Taylor Weth, and Laryssa Webster competing among the conference's top finishers in their respective events and contributing valuable championship points.
Additional scoring performances came throughout the lineup, including Morgan Moniz, Katie Webster, Kathryn Tanis, Abby King, Morgan Vogel, and Ella Anderson, as the Red Flash continued to show depth across strokes and distances.
The meet concluded with the final relay of the championships, as Saint Francis closed the session with a strong team effort in the relay, adding final points to cap the competition.
