LORETTO, Pa. –  The Saint Francis men's volleyball team were champions and scholars this past season.

On Thursday, the team received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. This marks the 10th straight year Coach Mike Rumbaugh's team has earned the honor.

First instituted in 1992, the AVCA Team Academic Award goes to collegiate and high school volleyball programs that maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.30 for the academic year.

Saint Francis earned a 3.48 GPA during the 2025-2026 school year.

The team captured the Northeast Conference championship in April and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history.
