BOX SCORE ERIE, Pa. – Saint Francis men's soccer matched up with Penn State Behrend Monday afternoon. The Red Wolves fell 5-0 to the Lions.
The first 45 minutes saw Penn State Behrend control much of the possession and create several opportunities, but the Red Wolves' defense held strong to keep the deficit at just one. Saint Francis entered halftime trailing 1-0.
The Lions continued to pressure in the second half, finding the back of the net four more times to extend their lead. Saint Francis recorded just one shot on goal in the contest, with Japhy McGuinness recording the lone shot.
The final horn sounded with the Red Wolves falling 5-0.
Brian Hegerty recorded 12 saves for the Red Wolves Monday afternoon.
The Red Wolves will be back in action Wednesday evening in Washington, Pa., taking on Washington & Jefferson under the lights. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
