WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- Saint Francis pushes past the Yellow Jackets in four sets after a dominating third set. Three Red Wolves had double digits in digs and two had double digits in kills. 

Emme Larson aided middle blocker Lorah Thomas for the first kill of the game. Together they collected a duo block to give Saint Francis another point and putting them up 4-1. The Yellow Jackets kept the game within three points until the Red Wolves went on a 5-0. Ava Holden and Thomas powered the run with Holden having two kills and Thomas having one. Then they grabbed a duo block to extend the lead to 19-12. Alexandra Sappia threw up a high ball for Holden to lay down the middle to win set one 25-16.

After Waynesburg won the second set Saint Francis dominated the third with a 25-12 victory. The Red Wolves did not let up that energy winning the fourth set 25-19, and winning 3-1 overall. Saint Francis held Waynesburg offense to a -.018 hitting percentage and 14 reception errors. 

Rylan Crowell led the Red Wolves offense with 13 kills, 12 digs, and three aces. Holden followed right behind her with 11 kills and 1.5 blocks. Sappia registered 29 assists, seven digs, three aces, and three kills. 

Defensively, Yasmin Berres had a career high of 19 digs in tonight's match. She also had three aces, three assists, and a kill. Emmi Adrian aided in the win by nabbing 10 digs, five assists, three aces, and two kills. 

Saint Francis will face another PAC opponent this Saturday at 5:00 p.m. The Red Wolves welcome Grove City to DeGol Arena after the first football game of the season at 1 p.m.
