REDSHIRT SENIOR (2017) – First Team All-NEC… Second Team All-ECAC… Won NEC Pitcher of the Week three times (2/20, 3/6 and 5/1)… Holds SFU career record for wins, with 52, and appearances, with 130. Ranks second all-time in strikeouts, with 447… Went 14-5 with a 2.37 ERA in 33 appearances (21 starts). Threw six complete games and earned one save. In 121.1 innings, allowed 52 runs (41 earned) on 77 hits, while striking out 124 batters and walking 53. Allowed an opposing batting average of .180… Ranked 22nd in Division I in hits allowed per seven innings (4.4), 59th in strikeouts per seven innings (7.2) and 123rd in strikeouts (124)… Threw a seven-inning No-Hitter against East Carolina (2/17), with 12 strikeouts and a walk… Had six appearances of five or more shutout innings and had four double-digit strikeout games… Earned a win over N.C. JUNIOR (2015) – Started five games while making 15 appearances in the circle … finished with a 3-1 record and 4.56 ERA … earned the victory at Maryland (3/17), hurling three innings while allowing just one run on four hits … pitched four scoreless innings and allowed just two hits at Towson (4/15).
SOPHOMORE (2014) – Went 5-2 with a 4.35 ERA in seven starts and 11 appearances before missing the second half of the season due to injury … Struck out 37 batters in 37 innings pitched … Hurled a complete-game shutout against La Salle (3/3), striking out nine batters while surrendering just four hits … Pitched second complete game of the season against Manhattan (3/7), allowing just four hits and one run while striking out six.
FRESHMAN (2013) – Led the pitching staff with 32 starts and 39 appearances … notched a team-high 17 wins with a 3.49 ERA … Had 24 complete games and two shutouts … struck out 137 in 206.2 innings while walking just 70 … spun a four-hit shutout at North Carolina A&T (2/25) with nine strikeouts … threw six innings, allowing just one run on two hits while striking out six against Cleveland State (4/11).
BEFORE SFU –Talented pitcher out of Illinois … at Forreston High School, she was also an infielder for the Cardinals, batting .447 her senior year to go along with five home runs and 42 runs batted in … as a member of the Red Flash, DeVries' focus will be on the mound, where she racked up 356 strikeouts in 2012 … her accolades while at Forreston include being a three-time unanimous all-conference selection, being named to the all-state team after her junior and senior years, as well as being named the maxPreps National Player of the Week (Midwest) in spring 2012 … in addition to her on-field accomplishments, she was on the honor roll all four years in high school and was twice named to the Academic All-Conference team.
