FRESHMAN (2017) – Appeared in 40 games, including two starts in the outfield… One of the top pinch-running options on the team, Murzello scored nine runs and stole six bases… Had a hit and drew two walks. Had an on-base percentage of .500… Collected her first college hit against Cleveland State (2/18)… Drew one walk in each of two starts against Fordham (2/18) and UMass (2/26)… Made pinch-running appearances and scored a run against North Texas (2/28), Liberty (3/9), Fairleigh Dickinson (4/3), LIU Brooklyn (4/10), Robert Morris (4/14), Central Connecticut State (4/23) and Wagner (4/30, 5/13)… Tallied steals against Campbell (2/12), Rhode Island (3/9), Liberty (3/9), Bucknell (4/11), Mount St. Mary’s (4/15) and Bryant (4/22).

BEFORE SFU – Murzello played four years at the varsity level at Holy Cross High School under head coach Tiffany Rhea… She batted .507 and stole 25 bases as a senior… Murzello was named First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Conference, First Team All-County, Second Team All-South Jersey and Third Team All-New Jersey in 2016… Murzello earned team MVP honors as a junior after recording a .511 average, .560 on-base percentage and stealing 23 bases… She is a three-time First Team All-BCSL Conference selection and earned First Team All-Burlington County and Second Team All-South Jersey honors in 2015.
 
PERSONAL – The daughter of James and Mary-Ann Murzello, Meg plans to major in Nursing at Saint Francis.
