SENIOR (2018)- Saw action in five matches son the season...Recorded 8 digs in 3-0 win over Mount Olive (1/13/18).

SOPHOMORE (2017) – Saw action in three matches during his sophomore season… Recorded two assists against UC Irvine and two digs. 

FRESHMAN (2016) - Saw action in two matches… Finished the season with two assists and one dig against Lees-McRae (2/5).

BEFORE SFU - Messa makes the jump from St. Francis High School to Saint Francis University to join the men's volleyball program ... Was an all-conference selection during both his junior and senior seasons and was named to the Illinois Sun Times list of Top 100 Players during his senior year ... Messa's squad were regional champions his junior year ... Set the school record for digs in a tournament with 91 and season record with 561 digs ... His club team, Sports Performance, placed 13^th overall at the boy's volleyball junior nationals in 2014.
 
PERSONAL - Jonathan is the son of Michele and Carlo Messa and plans to major in Psychology at Saint Francis U.
